Mechatok (aka Emir Timur Tokdemir) has quietly shaped the future of experimental pop and club music. Known for collaborations with Bladee, Ecco2k, Charli XCX, and Lorenzo Senni, his work blends underground subtlety with mainstream edge. Starting out on guitar before diving into production via GarageBand at 14, Mechatok quickly found his place in Berlin's electronic scene. He joined labels like Staycore and collaborated with artists including Oklou and Toxe (as Emiranda), culminating in the acclaimed album Good Luck with Bladee in 2020. In 2022, he launched Natural Mind, a club series spotlighting genre-defying talent like Evian Christ, Mica Levi, and Elysia Crampton. His experimental soundtracks have appeared everywhere from videogames to the Guggenheim. Now, Mechatok presents Wide Awake, his debut solo album"an immersive, hyper-detailed exploration of modern identity and sound.
